Bryan and Hiro have spent the past 2 weeks on a trek, trying to get Check Website to a beta launch. It didn’t quite make it since there are still a few things to complete, but join them as they discuss the past 2 weeks.

Things we have learned, read or found interesting.

Bryan shared a new product called HyperDev created by the guys at Fog Creek Software. It was announced on the Fog Creek blog - Announcing HyperDev - The Developer Playground for Building Full-stack Web Apps, Fast. The tool is a developer playground for building full-stack web apps, the tool includes automated deployment, instant hosting and collaborative editing all in one tool. This is an interesting product and will be very useful for developers to use when writing up examples of how to use their libraries or as a platform to show off small, simple apps.

Hiro shared his experiences with [“Shaken” (Motor-vehicle inspection)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motor-vehicle_inspection_(Japan) in Japan. There is a whole industry around this system, and they often encourage people to replace things that they don’t need to in the name of “safety precaution.”

We also talked a little bit about cloud IDEs.
